CHALLENGE:
As a large and complex ecommerce store in a highly-competitive market, Kitchen Things required an improved organic ranking for high-commercial intent search terms, as well as a website migration. We collaborated with their web developer to devise a large-scale site migration plan for Kitchen Things to a new platform, ensuring minimised drops in impressions, clicks and ranking.
STRATEGY:
Mapping all URLs to migrate avoided an increase in crawling errors and, therefore, minimised impressions, clicks and ranking drops after the new website went live. We also provided a comprehensive SEO technical audit before and after the new website went live. By analysing the search behaviour and intent of users looking specifically for premium appliances, Sprocket improved the quality of traffic to their website and the ranking of the product category pages. Our strategy contributed to a 10% increase in revenue from organic sources, a 22% increase in sessions from organic sources and a 24% organic SERP clicks increase in a year-on-year comparison in 2023.
